Antipodean Arrival.

Lots of held-back tears, two inflight movies, four-and-half hours of flight time, and 3896 air kilometres later, I find myself at this Internet cafe in one of the most isolated capital cities in the world (barring maybe Honolulu).

Got here in one piece. The body is sleep deprived. The sense of humour is still intact. However there is this big empty hollow space where a piece of the heart seems to have been left behind. But otherwise, so far so good.

The question then becomes... now what?

Ah...good to know that you've arrived safely. I remember the day when I was on the plane and bawling my eyes out. The people around me thought I was siao...

You have finally arrived.
Keep your head up & spirits high.
Just "nah" to any little irritations or inconvenience that you may meet in the coming days.
What a life!
Congratulations pal!

First of all, as a recent victim of "leave-home" trauma, let me extend my greatest sympathies to you - and my greatest congratulations for leaving Singapore.

I have many fond memories of Perth. It is a good place for you to recover from the spiritual rot that Singapore tends to inflict on its denizens.

What do you do now? Of course you'd have to let us shout you a pitcher!

On a more sober note, understandably you'd feel like the wandering spirit's long lost cousin. It's easy to tell - you wrote about it yourself.

Anyways I'll save idle chats for when we meet up, lah! Give us a bell anytime dude.
